We ask the potential adopters go through the application and screening process prior to setting up meet and greets with our pets to make sure they are a good fit for you and vice versa
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Application will include a vet check and a landlord check if applicable
- Interview
- A phone interview is conducted with one of our screeners
- Home Check
- This is done virtually
- Approve Application
- This includes signing a Foster-to-Adopt or Adoption agreement and paying the adoption fee
- Take the Pet Home

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka.

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.
We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.
We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a virtual home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.
We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
