Foxy is the definition of loyalty wrapped in a wagging tail and bright, eager eyes. With a spirit as warm as her name is playful, she’s always ready to stand by the people she loves—whether that means trotting faithfully at your side, keeping watch from her favorite spot, or greeting you with an enthusiastic tail-thump the moment you walk through the door. Clever, devoted, and full of quiet courage, Foxy is the kind of dog who makes you feel safe, loved, and understood without a single word. She’s your shadow on every adventure, your comfort on the tough days, and your biggest fan on the good ones.
With Foxy, loyalty isn’t just a trait—it’s a way of life.

More about this shelter
We are the only Animal Shelter aound in a 4 county area in a small rural town. Our Shelter is operated by the Humane Society of Lincoln County. We are dedicated to providing proper and humane treatment of all animals that come thru our doors. The Society was formed in 1985 by people distressed over the conditions at the local animal pound and concerned about the needs of orphaned, neglected and abused animals in the city and county. At that time, the Society took over the operation of an Animal Shelter and the investigation of all animal cruelty cases. This is work which we continue to do.
Your participation is vital to our mission. Please join our fast growing list of "Friends of the Shelter". Annual dues are $35.00 and that (and our fund raisers) help offset the tremendous cost of running the shelter. The greater the enrollment, the louder our voice in defense of all animals.
We are constantly looking for volunteers to help with the animals in our Shelter, or if that isn't for you, we are constantly doing fundraisers, and can always use help with those. If you are willing to help in any way, transporting animals, picking them up at the vets, washing dogs, running errands...we can always find a perfect spot to fit your talents.
