Mistario loves to explore, and his favourite spots have been perching on the window ledge, anywhere up high and with the coming cold he’s been known to sit near the heater – not on the nearby bed, but just right in front of it. He has only recently discovered the front door and has made no attempts to seek what may be beyond. He is calm, quiet and prefers a home that matches his vibe. He isn’t afraid to learn about what you are doing. If you work from home – congratulations on your new supervisor! When you are at home he prefers to be sleeping next to you or nearby. He’s a gentleman though, he prefers to wait outside the bathroom door.
Mistario saves his meows for the strongest of opinions or when you come home. He loves affection, but prefers it on his own terms and asks that you be patient with him while discovering his boundaries. He loves pets on his ears, face and especially chin. If you’re blessed you might be permitted a belly rub. He also loves to reach up to you for scritches. He prefers to stay on his feet and not be picked up or moved. He tries to give warning when displeased, and will give a quick bite and run away if you ignore the signs. That doesn’t stop him from coming back for some love.
He loves ribbon toys over wands with objects attached, a laser pointer and anything with catnip. Mistario prefers dry food and treats, or he’s yet to find a wet food that he’s interested in. He has no problems with drinking enough water.
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is
appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.

This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
