My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ziggy ✨🐾
Ziggy is a resilient, gentle soul who has already overcome so much. When he first showed up in May 2025, he was malnourished and injured, but with patience, care and love, he’s healed and blossomed into the sweetest, silliest companion. While Ziggy doesn’t use much of his one leg, it doesn’t slow him down - especially when it’s playtime or food time! He’s still fast and has a fun personality. Ziggy loves to chase toys, bat at strings, and soak up attention. His absolute favorite? Chest rubs and chin scratches!

This handsome boy is about 2–3 years old, neutered, friendly, and fully litter trained. He has a sleek black coat with a little patch of white on his chest and belly that makes him extra charming. Ziggy loves food and human company/connection. He has been exposed to other cats and dogs too but prefers a calm environment and his own space. Unfortunately Ziggy is positive for FeLV so he will do best in a household with other FeLV cats or as an only cat.

Ziggy deserves a second chance at life. If you’re looking for company and an easy, loving, playful, loyal friend with a heart as big as his story, Ziggy may just be the one for you. 💙

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
