My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dory – A Special Girl Looking for a Special Home
Dory is a 1.5-year-old boxer with special needs and the sweetest, happiest heart. At just 2 weeks old, she suffered a traumatic brain injury and wasn’t expected to survive. I rescued her at 8 weeks when the breeder considered euthanasia due to medical costs and uncertainty about her future.
Despite everything, Dory is pure joy. She loves people, is AMAZING with kids, and is the ultimate snuggle bug — she just wants to be close to you. Because of her injury, she has limited vision, epilepsy (requiring medication morning and night), ongoing neurologist care, and occasional potty-training setbacks.
She would do best in a home with a secure yard, someone home most of the day, and an experienced, financially stable adopter committed to her medical needs. She can be timid with dogs at first but does well with calm, non-aggressive companions.
This decision breaks my heart, but I want the very best life for her.
