My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We adopted Poncho a year ago from our local humane society shelter. We adopted a 10 year old cat shortly before then and had hoped that they'd be able to coexist and be companions in our home together.
Poncho is a excitable, cuddly, playful, and curious pup who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and curling up at our feet at the end of the day. He has attended and passed a 4 week basic obedience course (sit, stay, drop, etc commands) and is crate and house potty trained.
Unfortunately, our cat and dog have not bonded as we'd hoped and our cats aggressive response to Poncho and his large size make us worried about potential harm coming to either or both at some time. Due to his size and love of people (still working on jumping up on strangers) he is not ideal for a family with young children. Poncho would be perfect for a home with no cats, no children, an ability to take him for a 20 min walk once a day, and willingness to cuddle up with him on the couch at the end of the day.
