Looking to expand or start your feline family? We've got not one, but two purrfect fur babies for you. And there are no faults in their stars!
Handsome orange tabby JJ, and elegant patch tabby/torbie Jellybean, met when circumstances brought them together at HSU. They immediately became kindred spirits.
Two-year-old JJ excels at play, has extraordinary lap skills once he knows you, and loves to snuggle with his beloved Jellybean.
Seven-year-old Jellybean is more reserved than her soulmate but just as playful. She follows JJ’s lead, relying on him for confidence. Once Jelly feels assured, she will climb into your lap, purr, make biscuits, and fall asleep as soundly as a kitten.
JJ and Jellybean will do best in a quiet adult home or one with older, cat savvy children. They do well with other cats, but would be fearful of dogs. Both need to be indoor only cats. JJ and Jellybean require a generous supply of mice, ping-pong balls, and wand toys, some of which will be supplied by their foster mom. Both cats use the litter box reliably and have great appetites.

If you're not quite sure what type of pet will best fit your lifestyle, just ask one of our friendly Adoption team members to recommend one for you—they'll be happy to help!

There is no set limit on the length of time an animal may remain in our adoption program.

In 2014, an expansion and renovation project was completed which allowed the HSU to save more pets than ever before. Through an education-focused adoption process, positive promotion of shelter pets, and our many other programs and services, even more animals are expected to be saved in the future.
