Everest is a handsome 1 year old, 54-pound fun missile that has been patiently waiting for his first real forever home for months! His first home was a kennel on a front porch, which is no life for a young pup. He LOVES to play with other dogs. But he may confuse himself for a WWE wrestler instead of a dog, so he’d love to have similar size or large dogs that are confident and play like him. And that is comfortable enough to let him know when it’s a break time- because he’s a go, go, go kinda boy! Along with thinking he’s a wrestler, he also thinks he’s a lap dog. And, in his defense, if he fits, he sits 🤷♀️Ev also recently learned that he can crawl under the blankets and sleep by his foster dad’s feet and that is now his favorite place to be! He shares a fence line with chickens and would probably enjoy a nugget or six if offered. Cats aren’t something he’s experienced with either. Ev may do well with a large, confident, dog saavy cat but one that runs may be too much. His foster mom doesn’t think the current resident cat is a good tester as she is very timid. Everest does currently live with a 1-year-old human boy and he loves him, but his foster mom recommends older kids just because of his size, play style and lack of understanding of personal space. It is very nice of him to bring chew toys onto the human’s lap but is definitely not recommended for the littles! He would really love a family with some kiddos though! He kennels well, walks well with appropriate leashing and loves sticks and tennis balls even more than he’s ever loved anything. He is overall the goodest boy that deserves a home and a yard of his own finally ❤️ Everest is available through Sandi Paws Rescue Inc 🐾 Apply now to set up a meet and greet!

Additional adoption info
See our adoption process at www.sandipaws.org/adoption
A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.
Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
