Meet Slinky – The Sweetest Gentle Giant!
Slinky is a 1-year-old mixed breed weighing 66.8 pounds, and he’s the definition of a lovable goofball with a heart of gold. This handsome guy is housetrained and has proven he can be trusted loose in the house—he loves curling up in bed with his foster parents at night.
Slinky is great with dogs and kids (his youngest foster sibling is just 1 year old!) and is learning that fast movements aren’t so scary. He enjoys playing with toys, a good game of fetch, car rides, and cuddle time. He also knows “sit” and is eager to please.
His foster mom says it best: “Slinky is truly a one-of-a-kind dog. He’s the definition of a gentle giant, probably scared of his own shadow! He’s looking for adopters who don’t mind helping him build confidence and whose love language is physical touch. Whether it’s a literal hug standing on two legs, cuddling you all night, or resting his head on your lap on the couch, this guy always wants to be touching his person. He’s exploding with love, and his people will never be lonely if he has any say!”

His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
