My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 White-Out is a survivor... again... and again... and again. ❤️

White-Out has already lived through more than most cats ever will — and somehow, he’s still one of the most gentle, loving souls you’ll meet.

As a tiny 5-week-old kitten, he was rescued from a dumpster behind a food bank on Halloween... after apparently surviving a coyote attack. Even then, he showed incredible spirit and a will to live. Recently, White-Out endured another challenge — he was rescued from a house fire that broke out in a known drug house. Through it all, he’s proven to be a true warrior with a heart full of love.

Today he's 5-years-old and recently arrived at Homeward Bound. He's looking for a gentle kind of love, and in the spirit of thanks and giving, we would be so happy to see him find that!

White-Out is FIV+, which simply means his immune system needs a little extra care. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy, happy lives — especially when kept indoors and given regular vet care.

He’s calm, affectionate, and has the kind of quiet wisdom that comes from overcoming the odds. He's also FIV+, which simply means his immune system needs a little extra care. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy, happy lives — especially when kept indoors and given regular vet care. White-Out would love a peaceful home where he can finally feel safe, warm, and cherished — the happy ending he’s waited far too long for.

NOTE: Cats with FIV can have beautiful, long, happy, healthy lives and live with FIV- cats easily! Get more information here: https://www.humaneworld.org/en/all-animals/fiv-positive-cats

More about this shelter

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
