Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penny is a sweet, playful 9-month-old mini labradoodle. She is red with a white chest & nose (aka the cutest dog in the world!) She is crate trained, housebroken, good on a leash, & knows the basic commands "sit," "down," and "come." She is great with kids other dogs. She loves her people & is happiest when playing or snuggling on the couch.
Penny also is afraid of adult men, and occasionally women. This manifests as barking and/or hiding under furniture. We've been working with a veterinary behaviorist (like a pet psychiatrist) and Penny has come a long way in the 4 months we've had her. She's on medications to help with her anxiety, & she's becoming more comfortable with my husband. We love her so much and wish we could keep her, but my husband will be traveling a lot for work, so it's going to be difficult for us to consistently work with her on her fear in the way she needs.
Her new family should continue working with a veterinary behaviorist. For the right family, Penny's a gem!
