My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscayne!
This sweet girl is a total bundle of joy. She’s energetic, loves going on walks or runs, and is always up for playtime — but she’ll be just as happy curling up next to you for a cuddle session.
Biscayne is the definition of a best friend. She’s potty trained, affectionate, and loyal. She gets along well with other dogs once she’s had a little time to adjust and get to know them, but she’d also do wonderfully as the only dog in the home.
If you’re looking for a happy, active, loving companion… Biscayne is your girl.To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
