My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie - Spayed Female. - SH Orange Tabby and White
Approx. DOB: 7/1/2025
Maddie is current on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline AIDS
(FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV) — both results are negative.

Maddie was one of more than 20 frightened cats and kittens dumped on the same street as the heartbreaking situation Mikey, Millie, Minnie and Mollie came from.

Maddie was one of the very first kittens to be found. Now that she’s safe and healthy and has had good food and care, her true, sweet personality shines through. She’s playful, affectionate, and purrs the moment you reach for her. She’s everything you’d hope for in a happy kitten. She is so very sweet and adorable!

Maddie seems to do well with other kittens and cats do well with proper introductions. She is looking for a loving, indoor-only home where she’ll always be protected and will never be left to face the world on her own again.

If you’d like to meet Maddie or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application at www.loveastraycat.com.

More about this rescue

Love A Stray is an all volunteer, no-kill, animal rescue organization for cats and dogs serving primarily Lorain and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio. Our mission is four-fold:

1. To decrease the pet overpopulation by employing aggressive low-cost spay/neuter programs which includes not only adoptable animals but also spay/neuter assistance programs for families who otherwise would not be able to sterilize their pet. We also alter feral cats through trap/neuter/release (TNR) programs.

2. To rescue homeless animals and, when necessary, provide medical treatment including emergency veterinary care.

3. To nurture rescue animals through innovative behavior rehabilitation, when applicable, and to place them from foster families into permanent homes.

4. To educate the public on the importance of being an advocate for animals emphasizing humane treatment and sterilization.
