My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finleigh - Spayed Female
SH Brown - Orange Mix Tabby
Approx. DOB: 6/30/2025

Finleigh is current on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV) — both results are negative.

Finleigh went through quite a journey - literally!! Finleigh is a brave and resilient little kitten with quite the story! She somehow crawled into the engine space of a car for a 2½ hour ride from Findlay, Ohio, back in August. Her presence went unnoticed until the driver arrived home and heard her cries. The car was taken to a local car center, where Finleigh was safely removed and then turned over to a Love A Stray Volunteer to get the care she needed. Not injured - just dirty, scared and hungry.

Now healthy, playful, and full of personality, Finleigh is ready to find her forever home. She’s sweet, curious, and loves attention, her kitty straw toys and her food! She’s also bold and adventurous — a little kitten with a big heart and an unforgettable story. She may need some time to warm up to a new home, she has been living with several other kitties for the last several months, where she got along well with all. She has not been exposed to small children.

Finleigh’s journey shows her courage and resilience, and she’s looking for someone who will give her a safe, loving, indoor forever home where she can continue to thrive. Could you be the one to adopt this extraordinary little survivor?

More about this rescue

Love A Stray is an all volunteer, no-kill, animal rescue organization for cats and dogs serving primarily Lorain and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio. Our mission is four-fold:

1. To decrease the pet overpopulation by employing aggressive low-cost spay/neuter programs which includes not only adoptable animals but also spay/neuter assistance programs for families who otherwise would not be able to sterilize their pet. We also alter feral cats through trap/neuter/release (TNR) programs.

2. To rescue homeless animals and, when necessary, provide medical treatment including emergency veterinary care.

3. To nurture rescue animals through innovative behavior rehabilitation, when applicable, and to place them from foster families into permanent homes.

4. To educate the public on the importance of being an advocate for animals emphasizing humane treatment and sterilization.
