My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Ooooh man, we have to tell you about the most special girl ever, our little Bellarina

Bellarina is a 5.5month old kitten with the sweetest spirit and the most playful little personality. She loves other cats and spends her days in her foster home chasing wand toys, zooming after her laser, climbing her cat trees, and wrestling with her littermate Raffolino. She is pure joy in motion.

When she is not busy being a tiny entertainer, she loves sitting by the window and watching the world outside. She melts for gentle pets, and if you offer her a Churu treat, she lights up like you just made her whole day. At night she curls up on the bed with her foster parent, settling in like she knows she is safe and loved. She loves to lay on the head pillow or in the nook of your arm.

Bellarina is also special in a way that makes her even more endearing. She is missing half of her right paw, something she already had when we rescued her off the streets at just eight weeks old. It does not slow her down at all. She runs, climbs, plays, and keeps up with every other kitten. It does not cause her pain, though she may limp once in a while, and she does not need any special care for it. It is simply a reminder that the streets are no place for a kitten, and how lucky she is to have been given a second chance.

Now she is ready for her forever home, a place where she can make memories for a lifetime. Because Bellarina is young, playful, and absolutely loves other cats, she must go to a home that already has a friendly cat of similar age or temperament, or she can be adopted with one of her kitten friends (Raffolino would be a perfect match.)

If you can picture Bellarina curled up on your couch, chasing toys across your living room, or greeting you at the window when you come home, we would love to hear from you.

To meet this beautiful and loving girl, please fill out an adoption interest form on our website.

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to find the purrfect forever homes for our cats & kittens, so we match them with their potential families based on personalities, lifestyle, etc.

Adoption process:

Complete an Adoption Application.
Once you submit an application, a volunteer will review your application, check your references, and contact you to conduct a phone interview with you about the animal and answer any questions that you may have.
If approved, we will then set up a meet and greet with the entire family during open adoption hours to spend time with the cat you’re interested in. (all persons living full-time in the household must be present during the adoption process).
If it's a match, we will then set up a date and time for you to take your furrever family member home.

**WTRF does not do same day adoptions to allow our adoption counselors time to call your landlord and vet references.

**WTRF does not do single kitten adoptions (unless you have a kitten of similar age already in the home, no seniors) or break up bonded pairs.

**WTRF only does local adoptions.

Adoption Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Have a valid form of id with current address
Provide landlord information and approval and a copy of the executed lease or show proof of ownership
Have proof of vaccines & spay/neuter for any other pets in the home
