Meet Belle. This little sweetheart is looking for a very special person.
Belle is a (slightly chunky!) 5lb chihuahua. She has a grade 6 heart murmur and a mouthful of wretchedly bad teeth—and breath to match. Because of her heart condition, she hasn’t been spayed or received a dental. This makes her needs a little more delicate, but no less deserving.
Belle has recently made the journey from Northern to Southern California. Now she is hoping to find a very special person near Pomona, CA who can give her the forever home—or forever foster—she’s been dreaming of.
Belle is a gentle reminder of the dogs who need us the most: the ones that may come with extra challenges, but also come with extra love. Belle’s ideal human is someone who will cherish her for exactly who she is—bad breath, heart murmur, and all.

Please allow 5-7 business days to receive a response. Will be reviewed by Günter's Legacy Animal Rescue Board of Directors.
Interview
If the board approves your application you may receive a call for a phone interview.
Home Check
If application receives initial approval, we will schedule a mandatory home visit. Please note, if you rent we do check with the landlord.
Meet the Pet
We will schedule a meet and greet with the potential adopters and dog(s). It is required all members of the adoptive family must be present.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
Existing pets, required all the pets are properly introduced by GLAR. We will not adopt a dog into a home that has reached it's city mandate
Sign Adoption Contract
If app, home check, and meet and greet are approved we move forward with signing the contract.
Pay Fee
The adoption fee can be paid by PayPal, cash, or check but must be paid at the time of signing the contract. The adoption fee is non-refund
