My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KEVIN

(Napa, CA)

Kevin's story starts in Bakersfield, where he was sadly abandoned before being rescued by GLAR. Though we’ll never know what led to that moment, it’s clear he was deeply loved once. When he first arrived at his foster home, Kevin would sit quietly at the sliding glass door and softly whine, as if waiting for someone he missed dearly. But now, he’s settling in beautifully and showing everyone what a truly special dog he is.

Kevin is about 2 years old, 15.5lbs., and full of love and life. He’s fully housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home (both neutered males and females). He’s also incredibly smart. He learns routines quickly and heads straight to his crate at mealtimes and bedtime without being asked.

During the day, Kevin keeps his foster mom company while she works from home, laying quietly by her desk or happily chewing a bone. He’s playful, gentle when taking treats, and always ready for a walk or a snuggle session on the couch.

Kevin hasn't been tested with cats or small children yet, and we're still getting a read on how he does with men (updates coming soon!). He may have some dachshund and rat terrier in his mix, based on his short legs, long body, and adorable spotted belly.

The only "complaint" his foster has? Kevin is a bit of a table beggar. With how loving and charming he is, it's hard to hold that against him. He’s currently being fed three times a day to help him reach a healthier weight.

Kevin is simply a delight- smart, affectionate, well-mannered, and full of heart. He’s recently been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s ready to find the forever home he deserves. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Kevin here!
