My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Joey: the terrier of all terriers!!

This adorable 1 year old, 9lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix is ready to find his forever home!

Joey may be tiny, but he's packed with personality, charm, and that signature terrier spunk. (IYKYK) He’s had a rough start, but with love, structure, and training, he’s really come into his own. Joey is happy, cuddly, and full of potential.

Why we love Joey:

- 10/10 on the cuteness scale

- Crate-trained and housebroken

- Loves walks, sunbathing, burrowing, and cuddling

- Super smart and treat-motivated

- Loves his foster dog siblings and would thrive with a calm, confident dog companion (or as your one and only)

Like many spirited terriers, Joey can be selective with new people. Sometimes he will affectionately jump into the laps of trusted visitors. In others, he needs a little more time and guidance. We're working closely with a trainer to help him with consistent greetings and building trust, and we’re happy to support his new family in continuing this progress.

Joey’s ideal home will be with adults only. He needs a terrier savvy or rescue-experienced calm environment with patient, committed adopters. He'd do even better if there’s another calm pup to show him the ropes! Joey has so much love (and personality!) to give, he just needs the right match. Could that be you?

Apply to adopt Joey today and help this little guy live his best life.
