Meet Somersault!!
He came in as a stray on 11/5/25, and we think he’s about 6 years old. Life hasn’t been easy for this sweet boy but his spirit hasn’t been broken. He’ll need soft food, lots of TLC, and he will be having his teeth examined soon to help him feel more comfortable.
Despite his hardships, Somersault greets the world with a wagging tail, bright eyes, and a heart full of hope. He’s incredibly friendly, joyful, and ready to love anyone who gives him the chance. This gentle, resilient boy will be a loyal companion who truly appreciates every bit of love and care you offer.

All adoptions are $199.00. Adoptions include the following: Vaccines, microchip, Current dog license, spay/neuter, de-worming medication.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
