My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💙 Meet Cannon — The “Bestest Boy” Looking for His Forever Home! 💙

Cannon is about 5 years old, and the shelter staff loved him so much they literally wrote “the bestest boy” on his paperwork — and honestly, they weren’t wrong. He’s a handsome, mature Rottie mix with a classic docked tail and a heart that just wants to belong to someone.

Cannon is good with female dogs and still waiting to be tested with males. What he really loves, though, are his toys. This boy is serious about his playtime and prefers not to share, so a home with teens and older is recommended.

He’s been very clean in his space and appears to be housebroken, which makes settling in even easier. At about five years old, he’s past the chaos of puppyhood but still full of life, affection, and goofy charm.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who brings equal parts sweetness and personality, Cannon just might be your guy.

More about this rescue

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
