My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Norman is a sensitive senior cat with the potential to be a truly sweet and gentle companion once he feels safe. He adjusts slowly to new environments and will thrive with an adopter who can give him time, patience, and space to come out of his shell. His success will depend on someone who is comfortable reading feline body language and letting him move at his own pace.To help Norman decompress, he should start out in a quiet, contained room—like a spare bedroom or bathroom—equipped with hiding spots, cozy spaces, vertical perches, and easy access to his litter box, food, and water. He should never be approached while hiding or showing signs of fear such as crouching tightly, flattening his ears, hissing, or growling. With time and gentle routines, he will begin to relax, explore more confidently, and engage with his trusted people.Norman can be cautious with strangers and may prefer to keep his social circle small. When visitors come over, he should always have the option to retreat to a safe space and should never be forced into interactions he’s not comfortable with.
Norman is looking for a quiet adult home with no dogs or other cats. Older, cat-savvy kids who understand how to read his body language and give him space may be appropriate. This special senior boy just needs the right environment to feel safe—once he does, he’ll show his gentle and affectionate side.
