My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I am Karter!

I have very mild CH, but my foster Mum says I am obli..oblivimmum, oblivious! Yeah, oblivious! It just means I am a little wobbly! I run, jump, pounce, and tackle the big cats in the house. I can go up and down stairs, and I am pretty careful most of the time, but sometimes I forget and miss one. I can use the litter box just fine and the best part? It isn't contagious and won't affect my life expectancy.

I have no shy gene, I checked. Sit down, and I will come right up for the pets I so rightfully deserve! I love any toys, especially wands, where I can jump up and grab on! I’m becoming an amazing jumper! I have even started to play fetch! I am still a cat though, so only when I want to, and especially when Mum is trying to sleep! Take me home and I will show you!!!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Karter will need to be adopted with another BKB kitten.

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
