Foster cat`s bio for their adoption profile: Squirrel (aka Squirt) is a fearless, outgoing girl who has immediately settled in to her fosters home. If she wants attention she will make herself known by flopping on her back at your feet. She plays on her own terms; her favourites include springs, tunnels, and fleece strings. Squirrel`s little legs are too small to climb by herself, but she likes to be helped up to the window perch or the top of the cat tree to sunbath and watch the world go by. For such a little girl she has a big voice and likes to tell you about her day (even if you`ve been with her the whole time). Squirrel would do well with other cats if they are okay being bossed around by someone half their size. She doesn`t discriminate between her people; whoever is willing to give her attention at the time is her favourite at the time. She is extremely food-motivated so winning her over is as simple as giving her a treat. During downtime Squirt enjoys being close to you, receiving the occasional pet (she is sooooo soft!), but not usually on your lap.

More about this rescue
Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
