Lucy and Wanda are a bonded mother/daughter pair of chinchillas. Lucy was born in 2022, and Wanda was born 08/23/2025. Lucy came to us after her family was overwhelmed with too many chinchillas and could not separate her from their males. She had one almost weaned litter when she came to us, and was pregnant with her second. Now she is done with babies and ready for a home with her daughter where she can be YOUR baby!
Lucy is not a big fan of people and is protective of Wanda. She will bark and posture. If pushed, she could be a bite risk. We are working with her on her handling skills, and she has gotten a little better now that Wanda is older and not nursing, but we would recommend an experienced chinchilla home for these two girls. Wanda is sweet, and does well with handling, but will go hide by her mom if she gets nervous.
Chinchillas can live upwards of 15 years so these girls will be your companions for a long time.
