A Little Bit About Me

Lucinda is absolutely SHOCKED that she hasn't been adopted yet!

Sure, she's a little more shy than some of the other kitties here, but she's worth every minute of extra effort to earn her trust. Approach her quietly and gently so she knows you're a friend, then seal the deal with Churu treats, some play time with a wand toy, and soft head rubs. Soon you'll have a devoted companion for life!

Lucinda is a beautiful tortie kitten looking for a quiet home. This adorable girl enjoys gentle head rubs, Churu, and wand toy play. Lucinda is on the shy side and does well with a gentle approach. Here's what her foster mom says about her: 'Lucy is a sweet, shy kitten. She really warms up with another cat around. She loves playing with wands, balls, and loves being stroked with a feather wand. When she relaxes and lets you pet her, she purrs like crazy and makes biscuits. She likes a safe space of her own to hide and keep her toys. She'll be a wonderful, loving cat to a mature cat lover.' If you have a calm home, have a bit of patience, and are ready to help Lucinda blossom into the lovely companion that she is growing into, this gorgeous girl is waiting for you!

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
