Hi, I’m Bebe, I’m a sweet and sassy little lady with a big heart and a bit of a complicated past. I came to the shelter because I was having trouble using the litter box to go #2 — not my fault, I promise! I’ve had a condition called mega-colon in the past, which means my tummy can have a hard time doing what it’s supposed to. The awesome humans here are working hard to help figure out how to keep me comfy and on track. I’ve been through some stuff — I’m declawed on all four paws (ouch, I know), so I really rely on my humans to be gentle with me and treat me kindly. Even with all that, I love affection! I’ll lean into pets and soak up your attention... until I’ve had enough — then I might give a gentle love bite to let you know I need a break. I’m especially sensitive near my lower back and hind end, so please go easy in those spots. I’m friendly, curious, and just want a home where I can feel safe, loved, and understood. If you’re patient and kind, I’ll reward you with my quirky charm, cozy cuddles, and maybe even a head boop or two. I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. But because of this, my adoption fee is totally up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)!

The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
