Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at Paradise Island in Staten Island from 11am - 3pm!
Between Dec, 1st-15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $25!
Graycie is a 6-month-old, 5lb female domestic shorthair tabby, with beautifully defined stripes and a gentle, reserved personality.
Graycie is a sweet but shy kitten who prefers to observe the world from her favorite hiding spots until she feels safe and comfortable. Once she begins to trust you, Graycie shows her softer side—rolling around on the carpet, playing quietly with her toys, and enjoying a few moments in your arms. She’s a calm soul who thrives best in a peaceful home where she can take her time to come out of her shell.
When she feels secure, her soft purrs are her way of saying thank you. Graycie is fully litter box trained and has a special love for lickable treats like Churus and soups. With patience and kindness, she will blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion who brings quiet warmth to your home.
Graycie is currently being fostered in Brooklyn.
"Kittens are only adopted in pairs or to homes with other friendly, social pets. They are very social by nature and need to be with other pets for their socialization.
Graycie's adoption fee is $200; to adopt a pair of kittens, the combined adoption fee is $325.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. All adults are combo tested; for some litters of kittens who have not been exposed to other cats, only one kitten in the litter may be tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and helps us continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."
