Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Before arriving at the shelter, Clarice knew extreme hardship. While much of her past is a mystery, one thing is clear: she is incredibly resilient, deeply loving, and truly just wants a chance to love and be loved.

Clarice recently went on a Day Dog Out with a volunteer, and she absolutely shined:

- Co-pilot superstar - an amazing, calm car rider

- Social butterfly - happily greeted everyone she met at PetCo

- Restaurant rockstar - polite and respectful around people and food, even when meals were served

- Park pro - enjoyed her time outdoors and was excited to play with another pup she saw through the fence

Clarice has known what its like to have nothing, so food is very precious to her. Because of this, she would do best in a home where she can be fed separately from other dogs. That said, she is still playful, social, and enjoys the company of other dogs-she just appreciates a little understanding around mealtimes.

The shelter environment has been hard on Clarice. Shes the kind of dog who blossoms with love and stability, and if there was ever a dog who deserves a happily-ever-after, its her.

Come meet Clarice at 5001 Fred Wilson, anytime 11am-6pm, and show her just how good life can be.

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

Meet the Pet
We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.
3.

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.
Additional adoption info
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
