In early June an unexpected visitor showed up in the middle of the night. My dogs were barking so I went outside to see them playing with a beautiful dog that appears to be a Whippet/Shepherd mix. About a week later while I was still looking for the owner, our unexpected guest went into heat and hooked up with my Golden Retriever.
So I decided to name her Mercy and take care of her during her pregnancy. But now that most of the pups are either gone or spoken for, Mercy needs a forever home. I can no longer keep her. Mercy is wary of strangers but she is comfortable with me on a leash and is very loving once she warms up to you. She loves to play with my other dogs and doesn’t chase my cat when I’m present. But if kitty runs, she will chase.
Mercy stays in the kennel with my other dogs. She is house trained in the sense that holds her poop until I take them for a walk.
Mercy readily returns your affection with love and gratitude.
