My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile/ Foster Update : Mango is a smart, playful, and affectionate young pup looking for her forever home. She was adopted earlier this year but returned because training a dog with normal puppy behavior (jumping, nipping, and general excitement) was more than the family realized they had signed up for. She is very receptive to being told no, and just needs a family to help show her the way.

Mango does well with dog savvy kids and loves other dogs. She’s Uber smart and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and drop it, but she’s still learning and will need a family willing to continue her training. She is currently being fostered with young kids and is doing great!

She loves snuggles, fetch, tug-of-war, and exploring outdoors. Mango is potty trained, treat motivated, and full of personality. With the right family, she’ll be a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion.

Active, patient adopters ready to guide her puppy energy will be the perfect match for Mango!

Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $575 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent visit with a veterinarian. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.

Animal History: This dog was rescued from Hawaii thru our rescue partner Three Ring Ranch, and arrived to Seattle in May 2025; she was adopted and returned six months later for puppy behaviors (inappropriate nipping and chasing) that the family was not equipped to address. She is currently being fostered in a home with children and working on her manners and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area when she's ready.
