My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brownie is a small girl that was found running loose by the Bruno fire station and was brought in to the Shelter for her safety and wellbeing. She`s a sweet bundle of energy who loves to snuggle. Brownie was found to be heartworm positive and is currently being fostered where she`s receiving her treatment and learning how to live in a home environment. She can be an attention hog, but she gets along fine with other dogs.

Reminder: Brownie is still undergoing treatment for heartworms, so she would be a foster-to-adopt until her care is completed.

We strive to find the best homes for the pets in our shelter, and our process reflects it. It starts with the application. Once it’s reviewed, your current or previous veterinarian will be contacted. We recognize and want our adopters to know that if they find themselves unable to continue caring for their animal that we are their first call. We want to make certain that these animals will be safe and loved throughout their lives.
