My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Grinch!
Not so long ago, Grinch was a bit of a Christmas heartbreak — nails curled under his paws, painful ear infections, and a coat so tangled even Max couldn’t fix it. But those days are behind him, and his holiday glow-up has officially begun.
With his wild Whoville hair and fluffy Grinch toes, he’s already rocking the iconic look. And personality? He’s full of it — curious, a little sassy, and very motivated by snacks.
Don’t worry, our Grinch isn’t here to steal Christmas. He’s here to steal your spot on the couch. He loves soft beds, movie nights, and staying close to his favorite human. He’s not a lap dog, but he’ll always be right beside you, offering the sweetest little kisses when his heart feels extra warm.
Grinch prefers peace over reindeer games — he’s dog-selective and would be perfectly happy as the only pup in his very own Mount Crumpit. He’s pee-pad trained and does fine alone for short stretches, but he’ll always be happiest when he can keep you in sight.
He may look a little scruffy now, but just wait — this tiny Christmas miracle is about to shine brighter than the Whoville tree.
If you’re ready to help his heart grow even bigger, apply today.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
