My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Susan is a sweet and adorable little black tabby. She is still a bit hesitant about meeting strangers, and may need a little time to become comfortable in a new home. She plays well with her sisters and brother, and is always ready to come when one gets out the lickable treats. Like her siblings, Susan is a mobile home park rescue, but no longer neglected and likely to become feral. She is all ready for a real home, where, given a little time, she can share her love with her special people.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
