Cookie is fostered in Seattle! She is available for adoption anywhere to an approved adopter.

Cookie is an adorable pint sized staffordshire bull terrier mix weighing in at 30lbs. She came to us from animal control.

Cookie is a shy girl who has had a rough ride in life and needs someone who she can trust and love. She has been hit by a car and sustained a dislocated hip and fractured leg. She has had an FHO to repair her hip, but she will always walk with a little extra swag. She needs to be kept lean, and would benefit from joint health supplements. She will likely have arthritis later in life and may need pain medication to increase her comfort.

Cookie is ok with dogs, cats and kids, but she needs a home setting where everyone will be able to give her space to feel comfortable and settle in at her own speed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, harness, ID tag, medical records, and a sample of her food. Adopters in the Spokane area can expect to meet the pet during the homecheck. Others will arrange a meet and greet.

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
