My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Perry!

Perry is a beautiful 3½-year-old dilute calico with a unique mix of Persian and Egyptian Mau heritage — and she’s just as special as she sounds! Her soft pastel coat and expressive eyes make her truly stunning, but it’s her sweet personality that will win your heart.

Perry is gentle, affectionate, and enjoys spending quiet time with her people. She loves cozy naps, gentle pets, and lounging in sunny spots where she can watch the world go by. With her Persian side, she enjoys a calm environment and a bit of pampering, while her Egyptian Mau spirit brings a playful, curious spark.

She would thrive in a loving, peaceful home where she can feel safe and cherished. Perry may do well with another calm cat but would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only companion.

Age: 3½ years
Breed: Persian / Egyptian Mau mix
Color: Dilute Calico
Personality: Sweet, calm, affectionate, a little playful

If you’re looking for a graceful, loving cat with a gentle heart and a touch of mystery, Perry is the one for you!

Apply today to welcome Perry into your home and heart!

All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate.  Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Potential adopters for our Persian cats need to have prior Persian cat experience as they need to be well cared for.  Grooming, dental, and veterinarian exams are done once a year, and a good quality brand of cat food such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, or Purina Pro plan is the upper tier level with a black label.

We are a rescue and get what we get in terms of cats in need of a home. In no way do we work with breeders or buy the cats from the Friday markets so we can put them up for adoption as a rescue.

Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and by an approved application.   NVEcats aims to increase education in Egypt and around the world about these magnificent and intelligent cats.

Cats and kittens are not adopted out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We choose to match our applicants and cats based on what we deem as best suited for that particular cat or kitten.
