Meet Tussin! This sweet, spunky boy’s story is one of resilience and second chances. Tussin was originally found as a stray and brought to a local city shelter. While there, he developed kennel cough and, because the shelter was full, he was actually at risk of being put down. But we couldn’t let that happen! We rushed to get him, got him the care he needed, and now he’s healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home.
Tussin is estimated to be about 8 years old but you’d never guess it as he’s full of energy, curiosity, and life! Weighing about 22 pounds, this athletic little guy can jump surprisingly high, loves to run, play, and show off his moves. He even has a special trick: offer him a treat, and he’ll bust out his dance moves!
He has an atrophied eye that doesn’t slow him down a bit. Tussin is blind in that eye but navigates the world with ease and confidence. His spirit is bright, and he approaches life with joy and friendliness, always ready to meet new people and make new dog friends.
Tussin is people-oriented, loves attention, and thrives on playtime. He’s food-motivated, social, and downright charming. Once you meet him, he’ll be your friend for life. He would do best in a home with an attentive and active owner who can match his energy, keep him safe, and shower him with the love and engagement he deserves.
If you’re looking for a playful, loyal, and endlessly sweet companion, Tussin is your guy. This silly boy has a second chance at life and he’s ready to make every day a joyful adventure with his forever family. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
