He was a surrender to Animal Control in early October, and we had space to pull him. We wanted to start working on that skin condition because we know he had to be miserable.
Once month's worth of medicated baths and mousse, oral medications and a Nexgard, and a good sensitive skin food have done wonders for this guy. He still has a ways to go - but he is much healthier and happier now!
He is around 4 years old and close to 60 lbs. He is not neutered yet (skin was too irritated) but he will be in accordance with state law, and he will get microchipped and rabies vaccine then as well.
He is up to date on his other yearly vaccinations and dewormer. He was 4DX tested and was negative for all the tick and heartworm diseases.
We have not tested him with other animals yet - and he does need some obedience work. But he is a happy go lucky guy that would love to join you in your home.
Here is the link to apply: https://www.hshcwv.org/adopt.html
And if you would like to help support the food he is on - bags can be sent to 2450 Saltwell Rd Shinnston, WV 26431. We will drop the kind he is on in the comments below It is Purina One Sensitive Skin.

More about this shelter
Our mission is to pull animals that were strays or owner surrenders from the Harrison County Animal Control (WV) and make them adoptable to the public. We provide veterinary services such as vaccinations as well as spaying or neutering, microchipping, (in accordance with WV law), testing of Lyme/ HW for dogs and Felv/Fiv for cats, and then try to pair them with the best potential adopters. We are not county funded, and so rely on our generous supporters and donors to help provide the care and basic necessities of our furry friends.
