My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there — I’m Forest. I came to the shelter after spending the first part of my life out on the streets, fending for myself. It was a tough start, and I’m still learning that humans can be safe and kind. I can be a little cautious at first, so please take things slow with me. Even though I’m scared sometimes, I’m also very curious — I like to watch everything that’s going on around me, and I’m starting to realize that gentle pets and soft voices aren’t so bad after all. I came in quite skinny, but thanks to the nice people here, I’m slowly gaining weight and feeling better every day.

What I really need now is a calm, patient adopter who will give me the time and space to build trust at my own pace. With love and understanding, I know I’ll blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion.

If you’ve got a cozy spot and a gentle heart, I think I’d fit right in.
