Monet is a sweet little tenderhearted dog who is about 2 1/2 years old and weighs 24 pounds. She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people.
Her family moved and left her behind. She kept having liters of puppies that did not survive, until we rescued her from the road.
Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t handled very much so she just needs a few minutes to know that she is in a safe space.
Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection.
She gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue.
She would do best in a calm and patient home where she can get acclimated to her new surroundings and learn to trust. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own!
Monet is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. Monet is available for transport to St. Augustine, FL on December 20, 2025. The transport fee is $125.

Monet tested positive for Chagas disease and has started treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol.
