My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mila was brought in by a community member.

Why Mila might be the one for you:
Mila is in a foster home and her foster mom says that Mila is happy, friendly and cuddly. She is house trained. She is happy to play and happy to chill out on the sofa next to her person. She is crate trained and seems to really like her crate. She goes into it on her own for naps and serious sleeping. She prefers treats to toys. Her foster says she will eat anything so she may need some food policing unless you want your dinner disappeared. She jumps in the car and the bathtub by herself because she likes car trips and baths. She follows her foster around like a good dog does and even pokes her head in the shower to make sure her foster is OK in there. All in all, she is a calm and polite lady looking for a loving new home! Mila loves to make new friends, and will ask for pets from everyone she meets. She adores attention, and always wants to be near people. Mila is well-mannered, walks politely on a leash and has not shown reactive behavior towards other dogs. If you're looking for an easygoing love bug to be your loyal canine companion, Mila checks all the boxes. Come and meet this nice lady who is ready to go home with you

At SDHS:
Mila has been vaccinated, microchipped,spayed/neutered and is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
