Meet Pilot – A Nervous but Loving Dog with Tons of Potential! Pilot is a 1.7-year-old American Bulldog mix who’s looking for a patient, understanding home to help him build confidence. He can be nervous at first, but once he gets to know you, his affectionate and loyal side shines through. He does show some barrier frustration and mild reactivity, so he’ll need an adult-only home with experienced owners who can provide calm leadership, structure, and positive reinforcement. Pilot is selective with other dogs, so a meet and greet is required with any resident dogs. He has not yet been cat tested. Pilot is still learning his boundaries and basic manners, but with consistency, training, and patience, he’ll continue to make great progress. We require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.
Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done.
Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.
Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.
