This young, playful boy is bursting with enthusiasm for life and is so ready to find a home that can channel all that zest into something wonderful. Jackson is eager to please (even if he can be a little stubborn sometimes), and he’s already working hard on mastering his sit command. With consistency and encouragement, he’ll keep making great progress.

Jackson will thrive in an active home—one that enjoys walks, adventures, and mental stimulation. He’d absolutely love to attend a training class with his new people, not just to learn but to bond and show off just how smart he really is.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
