It took a little time for pretty Kitty to get used to her new surroundings but once she did, she totally shined! And don`t let her age fool you. She really gets around. She loves to sit in your lap and get pets.

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
