Meet Butterfinger – Sweet, Sleek, and a Little Bit Nutty
Butterfinger is a handsome black cat with a golden heart—and just the right amount of mischief. Smooth, sweet, and a tiny bit nutty, he’s the perfect mix of cuddle bug and chaos agent.
He loves sunny windowsills, gentle playtime, warm naps, and the occasional surprise zoomie (often at midnight). He’s also been known to judge humans from the highest shelf—classic black cat magic.
Curious and affectionate, Butterfinger warms up quickly and loves attention once he knows you. With his shiny coat, playful spirit, and loyal personality, he’d make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a charming, magical little friend.
Butterfinger would love to be adopted with one of his littermates, but if not, he’ll need a home with another friendly, playful kitty to grow up with—he thrives with feline companionship.
Butterfinger is ready to bring sweetness, silliness, and love to his forever home!
Butterfinger
is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
