Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fern is an exceptionally sweet, gentle, quiet dog. She has adjusted nicely to her foster home. She was very shut down when she arrived about 3 months ago, and just wanted to stay in her crate. Now she rarely goes in it. She’s learned to navigate stairs and walks very well on a leash, although she’s not up for long distances. She enjoys meeting people and has made friends with a nearby dog. She loves to sleep in the sun and knows where the best spots are at different times of the day. She also likes to be where her foster parents are, and will follow them around the house. She’s very food motivated and has learned commands easily.
Her initial wounds are mostly healed, but she does have arthritis in at least one leg, and takes medication to help with that. She has very dry eyes which require prescription drops or ointment daily. She also takes a B-12 supplement to help maintain her weight.
Fern is a very easy dog and is just so sweet! She has learned to enjoy life, and will make someone an excellent companion.
Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.
