Meet Josie the sweetest girl in the world, that is at least how her foster home described her. Josie is low to medium energy, however she loves going on walks. She is very easy going on the leash, no pulling and is a happy camper when it comes to greeting other dogs and people. Josie does great staying at home, she is not destructive at all. Whilst she had some initial issues with howling when left alone, her foster home is working on it with her and have noticed that keeping the TV on when gone helps. She is not the biggest fan of the crate, but does great being left out alone. This sweet girl is calm with other dogs and gets along well with them, she also shows no interest in the fosters cats which further shows how calm and sweet she is. Whilst Josie has not yet been introduced to kids, we believe that with a slow introduction and her calm demeanor she should not have an issue with them. Josie has no issues with resource guarding. She does enjoy the backyard and chasing the squirrels when she can, however on walks she perks up but doesn’t pull when she sees them. Josie is not a big fan of the car as it causes her quite a bit of stress, due to this we believe that she needs a home that does not require frequent car travel and maybe even an adopter close by. Her foster home is currently working on her excited jumps and recall, but they describe her as easy going and a true little gem. When Josie first came to her foster home, she was learning how to play with toys and now she absolutely loves playing fetch.

This lovely girl would be an amazing addition to any home.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not host adoption events. We do bring some of our dogs to fundraisers to meet potential adopters who then must complete the full adoption process.

More about this rescue

We are a small foster based rescue who focuses on helping areas of overpopulation and dogs in desperate situations. We are run by dedicated volunteers and generally only have a handful of dogs in care at one time so we can focus on exactly what they need to feel better and find a loving home.
