My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a very special pup and we are looking for an equally special home for him! He's a 2 year old Shih Tzu mix and weighs about 17 pounds. He has an adorable little face and giant eyes that display his emotions clearly. Bear came to us after he was one of multiple dogs left at a retention pond. He clearly didn't have a great start and what he needs more than ever is the comfort, confidence building, and love that a patient forever family can help him gain! He happily wags his tail whenever he sees his Foster mom - we know that with time, he will welcome his favorite humans' love, too.

He is an intelligent fella but his fear from his former life can get in the way of his curiosity, so he will need a confident canine sidekick to show him this new world is not as scary as it may seem! He enjoys zooming with other dogs, especially in the snow. He has the funniest, joyful prance in the snow! His fun personality really shines through in the company of other dogs and we can't wait for his forever family to see him blossom! But, since he's not too sure about his surroundings yet, Bear will need a fenced yard to ensure his safety.

We can't wait to find Bear's perfect forever home. He will be a great little companion to another dog and, with time, he will be the best companion for his people, too! All he is asking for is time and patience from his future family, and we are sure happy to help meet his needs <3

Bear's adoption fee is $400
