My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Router! My foster mom calls me Vinny and she says I'm an absolute dream. If she didn't travel for work, she would keep me in a second. I love to play and my foster mom's friends brought me some squeaky toys which are my FAVORITE. I love to hang out with her and her roommate and my toughest decision every day is who's bed to sleep in at night. I'm a big cuddle bug and love some good scratches. I am house trained and will do just about anything for a treat. I don't mind cats or small dogs, but I'm not the biggest fan of small kids. I don't mind bigger dogs, but sometimes if they look at me weird, I'm not the happiest pup ever.

I currently live in the East Village and while I'm a better walker on a quiet street, I love a late night walk before bed around a busy street because that means I get more attention. The only time I bark is when I hear the doorbell or if there is something spooky in the street, but each time I bark, my foster mom is a bit confused because I usually am a pretty quiet pup. I would prefer having a yard, but I've been good in an apartment because I get to go on a LOT of walks. (Gotta get my 10k steps in!) My tail does not stop wagging and I'm a magnet to my foster mom, but I can't wait to find my forever home!

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea.
