What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Pippi was adopted from a shelter in 2013 and grew up in a loving family in a safe environment. She will be 13 years old in February. She gets along with most dogs but not all. She has never had an accident in the house, never destroyed any property, never been aggressive with any person or animal. She has respect for cats. She is a Velcro dog - she loves her people. She knows commands. She walks well on a leash and doesn’t require lengthy walks - she just wants to sniff things. She would be a great companion for an older person who needs companionship. She is used to having access to a fenced backyard. She has no health problems and has gone to the vet regularly. She’s agile and jumps and runs like a younger dog, but isn’t hyper.
It’s very hard for us to make this decision to rehome. We have had some health changes with multiple family members that require our full attention for the foreseeable future and Pippi is feeling neglected and depressed. She deserves more than we have to give.
