Meet Minnie & Rosie — Two Best Friends, One Beautiful Bond

Hi there! We’re Minnie and Rosie, two sweet, loving girls who have been best friends for years. We do everything together — nap, play, groom, and keep each other company. We’re looking for a calm, loving forever home where we can stay together and share our gentle hearts with you.

About Me, Minnie:

I’m the social butterfly of the pair — friendly, affectionate, and always ready to give headbutts and purrs. I love people and don’t mind being picked up or held. I’m very good for vet visits, too!

I can be a little silly and spacey sometimes (my depth perception isn’t the best, but it makes me adorable). Every so often, I get a playful burst of energy and chase around my favorite puffball toys. I even know my name and come when called!

I’m an indoor-only cat — I once slipped outside when a window was left open and just sat by the door waiting to come back in. I don’t have outdoor survival skills, but I do have the best cuddling skills. I get along well with other cats, dogs, and even respectful kids.

I have a mild case of idiopathic seizures, which means I may have a few small seizures a year, but my vet says they’re so rare and mild that I don’t need medication. Otherwise, I’m healthy and happy!

About Me, Rosie:

I’m a gentle, shy girl who loves deeply once I feel safe. Minnie is my best friend and my source of courage — she helps me feel brave and confident in new situations. I love to play with toys (especially my favorite stick toy, which I’ll bring with me!), though I usually like to play when no one’s watching.

I can be chatty at times, especially when you call me “Baby Rose” — that’s my favorite nickname. I might meow right back! I also have a few funny quirks: I love butter and even try to nibble lettuce sometimes.

I’m shy with new people and slow to warm up, but once I trust you, I’ll be a loyal, affectionate companion. I must stay indoors only, because I get very scared outside. When I was younger, I accidentally got out twice and had to be trapped to come home — I’d much rather stay safe and cozy indoors!

I have idiopathic cystitis, which can cause a few extra litter box trips or occasional blood in my urine. My vet has done full testing, and I’m doing really well on my prescription food and a small dose of gabapentin. A calm, low-stress home helps me feel my best.

I get along nicely with cats (especially playful boy cats), gentle dogs, and older, quieter kids.

Our Story:

Minnie was surrendered in 2018 after her previous family faced eviction. She was loved by a young boy and came to her foster mom needing some TLC. Rosie was rescued as a kitten from a barn in Ovid, along with her brother and mom. She was very shy at first, but Minnie helped her blossom.

Now, we’re a bonded pair — two hearts that found home in each other. We nap together, comfort each other, and share quiet moments of joy every day.

Our Dream Home:

We’re looking for a calm, loving indoor home with someone who understands gentle souls. We’d do best in a home with fewer animals and a relaxed environment. In return, we’ll fill your days with love, warmth, and quiet companionship.

If you’ve been wishing for two affectionate, loyal cats who adore each other (and will adore you, too), we’re ready to bring double the love into your life.

The Adoption process:
*Submit your online adoption application
* If you already have pets in your home, they must be up to date on their vaccinations.
*Once the reference & vet checks are complete and approved, we will be in contact to schedule a home visit and/or meet & greet with the animal you are interested in. All members of the family including any current pets must be present.
*Based on your references, home visit and meet & greet, we will approve or deny your application to adopt or recommend a different animal who may be a better fit for your home.
*If approved, we will set up a date for you to adopt your new companion animal. If an animal is not yet spayed/neutered, we will set up your adoption for a time after they have been altered. We will not adopt out any animal until they have been spayed/neutered unless the animal is determined, by our veterinarian, unable to be spayed/neutered due to a medical condition or that it would be a danger to their well being.
